If you're the sort of person who likes cosy, understated restaurants then this vast Armenian restaurant is not the place for you. More of a palace than an eaterie, you will think you have stepped back in time 2000 years when you sit down amongst the many carvings, gold embossings, fancy drapes and authentic Armenian oak furniture to order your shashlik. Even the fish pond is sculpted in the shape of an Armenian lake and the waitresses are dressed in elegant oriental garb. Why "Noah's Ark"? Well the Armenian race is said to have been founded by the great-great-grandson of the ancient mariner. Perhaps it's no surprise then, that they chose to settle in a landlocked country!
