'Bavarius' might sound like a Roman general from Asterix the Legionary, or perhaps Russel Crowe's right hand man in Gladiator, but it is in fact a popular German beer restaurant in the Russian capital. As such the spirit of Oktoberfest is never far away from Bavarius, which as well as serving a superb range of German and Czech brews, also supplies you with one of Moscow's largest beer gardens in which to enjoy them... And if you don't like to swig on an empty stomach you'll find filling up on snitzels and sauerkraut a real pleasure! If somehow you manage to drink the house dry then find a second branch on Komsomolskij, near Fruzenskaya Metro.
