Summer Ballet Festival

The annual 'Summer Ballet Festival' will take place once more in 2007 at the Moscow 'New Opera' theatre in the stunning Hermitage Gardens. A summer long programme of classics such as Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet and Nutcracker will be performed by the Russian State Ballet and the Russian National Ballet in an event that aims to keep Moscow's great legacy of ballet not only alive, but popular and thriving. If ballet is a genre you've let pass you by, now's a great chance to discover its joys.

Chekhov International Theatre Festival

The 7th Chekhov International Theatre Festival continues for another month in July 2007 and promises plenty of highlights for theatre buffs. Productions from Japan, Canada and Great Britain will all be performed, and amongst the many quality evenings of drama will be five nights of Shakespeare's Cymbeline by the Cheek By Jowl theatre company in the Pushkin Theatre.
