An unfortunate incident at Moscow zoo has resulted in the death of a forty year old zookeeper who was killed by an elephant with which she had worked for many years.
Three elephants were being loaded onto a specially-designed truck in order to transport them to more spacious confines in Valencia zoo, Spain. It is believed that one of the animals became nervous and lashed out with its trunk - the single blow being enough to kill the unfortunate zoo keeper.
