Moscow No Longer Most Expensive

Moscow has been steadily gaining a reputation as an exceedingly expensive city, ranking in fourth place in 2009 and number one in 2008. However, a recent survey by Swiss Bank UBS has knocked Moscow right down to number 56.

Other formerly "expensive" cities such as Osaka and Geneva have fallen, and the only explanation can be the global economic crises. Some cities have shot up in rankings however, with Canadian newcomers Toronto and Montreal both grabbing top 10 spots in the list.

The Survey placed Oslo in first, followed by Zurich, Geneva, Tokyo, and Copenhagen.
