Hostel Market Grows in Moscow
It's no secret that travelling to Moscow can be really quite pricey, starting with expensive visa processes and ending with expensive accommodation options. However, the latter problem seems to be easing for budget travellers with the opening of several hostels in the city centre.
The Moscow News reports an industry growth of around 25 per cent this year with over 50 different hostels now open in Moscow. The city is now even home to its own Hostel's Union. While Moscow still has a way to go to meet the budget traveller standards of cities such as St. Petersburg, popular hostels like Green ManGo and Fabrika are offering exciting new options. Beds in modern dorm rooms are roughly 20 USD per night, and in the city centre no less.
