Moscow Calls in Swedish Ambassador

 

Russia called in the Swedish ambassador Wednesday to express serious concern about the detention of a Russian researcher on spying charges.

According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ambassador was told that Russia expects an immediate release.

The Russian was arrested last month, charged with activities that damaged the Swedish armed forces.
