Anti-fascist youth teams patrol Moscow streets
MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) -- The youth organization "Nashiî sent anti-fascist patrols to Moscow streets on Thursday in a bid to prevent Neo-Nazi supporters from rioting on the anniversary of Adolf Hitler's birth.
ìNashiî sent its patrols to the area of the dormitories of the University of People's Friendship, the Moscow Institute of International Relations, the biggest commodities market in Cherkizovo, Manezh Square, Chistiye Prudy boulevard, Gorky Park and the Red River market place frequented by Vietnamese vendors.
The advocates of Adolf Hitler, who is responsible for the death of dozens of million of people, threaten people of other nationalities, the press service of the Nashi movement said. ìWe deeply regret that they do not realize that Russia is a multinational state whose very existence depends on cooperation of people of different races, nationalities, religions and cultural traditions,î the Nashi press service said.
On Thursday, "Nashi" has launched an anti-fascist campaign with the aim to ensure safety of people of other nationalities in Russia. In future, such patrols will be conducted on a regular basis, the press service said.
