"I stayed here April 2006 and I LOVED it!!! The common areas were GORGEOUS! My room was nothing special but, I understand they have remodeled! It was reasonably priced ($120 per night) and the bar/observation deck at the top made for some great pictures!! 10 min. walk (at the most) to the Kievskaya Metro. Very easy!! The breakfast buffet was great!! There were a lot of American's staying there too (some kid's hockey teams, and adoptive couples). Nice litle gift shop, in case you haven't spent enough out at the Izmailov Flea Market!! Would stay there again and again!! Actually curious to see the renovations!"

"This is an excellent hotel, one of the best in which I have taken a room in some time. The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms luxurious, and the food at the breakfast buffet excellent and abundant. I will return the next time I am in Moscow, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city."

"Marvelous stay in Russia thanks to the Marriott Grand. Amazing staff - which I am told is rare in Moscow, but I think that is an old out-of-date cliche. Very luxurious. It was also easy to get out and visit Red Square and the Kremlin."

"awesome time in Napoleon. Met some cool Italians and we had a riot in Moscow's crazy clubs - even if we were neearly bankrupt afterwards"

Godzillas Hostel

"This was the only place/person/organisation to rip us off the entire time we were in Russia. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly and clearly had the attitude that backpackers were for money and nothing more. Don't come here expecting anything more than a barely adequate room at a very high price."

"Napoleon Hostel is the best hostel in the world! These guys saved me in September, when my Russian visa was running out. They did everything they could to help me out, going way above the call of duty to schedule appointments for me and so on. Without them I would have succumbed to pure panic for sure! Thanks Napoleon Hostel for helping me get on the train and out of Russia!"

"Very much enjoyed my stay at the Marriot grand hotel in Moscow (not difficult since the company was paying;). If you thought Moscow was still behind on customer service think again. First class luxury"

"Hotel Ukraine Is a wonderful hotel, my wife and I have stayed there a couple times and just wonderful place within walking distance from the Arbot and Casinos and if your lucky you can have a view of the Russian White house across the river. No matter what side you stay on go to the top and see the magnificant view and don't forget to have coffee while there. Then in the morning go down stairs for breakfast buffet wow I've never seen such food. You will definately enjoy this hotel"

Hotel Zarya

"Although you may initially be put off by the slightly out of town location once you have managed to navigate around the bustling but friendly market by the Metro stop, you are blessed by a broad suburban tree lined avenue leading to hotel Zarya, not unreminiscent of the red bricked streets of certain US towns. The hotel itself provides the weary traveller with every essential need without demanding a premium price and unlike her more pricey centrally located neighbours there are no unwanted advances in the lift bay to mare your visit. Rooms are clean, reception is polite and English is spoken. Breakfast may be a little strange for some Western tastes but it provides a range of exciting dishes to challenge you before venturing out. Overall I would recommend this to both tourist and business travellers alike."

"It's such a hack walking from your room to the restaurants or wherever in fact - this hotel is a monster! Location's great, that's just about it. The hotel itself has all the charm of a channel ferry."
