Hotel Rossija

This 2,800 room giant of a hotel has all the charm of a ministerial building, and corridors so long and bewildering they'd do just perfectly, thank you, as stage sets to Kubrick's film 'The Shining'. The cool retro feel will wear off soon enough, and you'll just be left with two thoughts - horrid breakfasts but outstanding location. You can attempt to digest your food whilst enjoying a stunning view of the Kremlin, and Red Square is but a swift 5 minute march away. Not bad value. If you have the courage (and a compass to find your room) go for it!

It's such a hack walking from your room to the restaurants or wherever in fact - this hotel is a monster! Location's great, that's just about it. The hotel itself has all the charm of a channel ferry.
