Set in a beautiful old mansion, the East-West's aim is to combine the comforts of modern living with the grandeur of past-times. Although some would argue that the incongrous combination of emerald drapes and ornate chairs with formica sideboards and tables is less than a triumph in this respect, there's little fault to be found in the levels of luxury on offer. Pampered Westerners amongst you are sure to find all the mod-cons that you need - rooms come with a bath, fridge, and satellite TV as standard, and guests can also make use of a bar, restaurant and sauna. Undoubtedly its strongest selling point however, is the East-West's location on the ancient Tverskoy Boulevard, well within strolling distance of the Kremlin and Red Square.
