What's this? A Moscow hotel with less than five billion rooms in a building that wasn't once a Communist tower block? 'Surely not?' we hear you cry, but indeed it is true. Thirty eight rooms in a mere two storey building mean that sufferers of vertigo can rest easy at the Sretenskaya, which is well-situated in the North of the city centre. Not that compactness and location are the Sretenskaya's only charms: the comfortable, elegantly-decorated rooms come equipped with satellite TV, mini-bar and safe, and guests can also take advantage of a sauna, gym and a charming winter garden - all on the hotel's grounds. All-in-all a great choice for those who prefer more intimate digs.
